<p>PURPOSE:To discharge a bundle of sheets to a stack tray without disturbing sheet registration by projecting a contact member to a transport position on detecting the trailing end portion of a sheet clamped and transported by upper and lower rotors, and reversing the rotors to bring the trailing end portion of the sheet into contact with the contact member to accomplish sheet registration. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end of a bundle S of sheets is clamped by upper and lower rotors 62, 63 to be transported towards a stack tray 23. When the trailing end of the bundle S of sheets is detected by a sensor 65, a contact member 67 is projected in the rear of the bundle S of sheets and the upper and lower rotors 62, 63 are rotated in the reverse direction. Thus, the trailing end portion of the bundle S of sheets is brought into contact with the contact member 67 to accomplish sheet registration. The lower rotor 63 is moved in the opposite direction to the stack tray 23 to release clamping for the bundle S of sheets, and the bundle S of sheets is dropped and accumulated in the registration state on the stack tray 23.</p> |
