An electric drum separator for separation of a mixture of dielectric and electro-conductive bulk materials comprises a casing (1) in which the drum (3) serving as a receiving electrode is mounted rotatably around a vertical axis, a means (5) for feeding the mixture of bulk materials onto the lateral surface of the drum, at least two corona electrodes (10) for charging the particles of the mixture in the electric field generated between said electrodes and a part of the lateral surface of the drum (3) and brushes (15) for removing the dielectric particles from the lateral surface of the drum, the number of the brushes corresponding to that of the electrodes. The corona electrodes (10) and the brushes (15) are essentially evenly spaced along the circumference of the drum (3), under which are located, depending on the number of corona electrodes (10), receivers (17, 18, 19) mounted on the paths along which the electro-conductive particles flow, and intended for catching the agglomerates of the electro-conductive and dielectric particles, as well as on these along which the dielectric particles flow.
