PURPOSE:To obtain a heater of a low cost and an excellent filming property by spreading an extreme infrared paint on the surface of an amorphous glass tube, giving a preliminary drying, and then heattreating it at a specific temperature to form an extreme infrared ray emitting layer. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of an amorphous glass tube, a paint including an extreme infrared ray emitting material such as zirconium oxide or aluminum oxide, together with an alkaline silicate or alcoholate silicate as a binder, is spread. After drying it preliminarily, a heat-treatment is given to crystallize the amorphous glass into a crystallized glass tube 1, while an extreme infrared emitting layer 2 is formed. Then a coil-formed electric heater wire 3 is inserted in the glass tube 1. Since the crystallization of the amorphous glass and the sintering of the coating film are carried out at a time, a heater of an excellent filming property can be obtained at a low cost. |
