PURPOSE:To prevent mixing of impurities from wear with the main carrier liquid and maintain the main carrier liquid at a certain degree of pureness by forming a cutoff stream of main carrier liquid between casing and the slide part of shaft casing, and sheltering the slide part against the casing. CONSTITUTION:When an impeller 2 rotates, the main carrier liquid is pressure sent from a suction hole 1b to a discharge hole 1c, and the main carrier liquid pressure near the discharge hole 1c becomes high, and part of its passes a divergent pipe 3 and is sent to an exhaust pipe 5 from a manifold groove 4. After passage of a filtrating device 5c, it is fed back to near the suction hole 1b. Because the main carrier liquid flowing through the manifold groove 4 is taken in the neighborhood of the discharge hole 1c, pump pressure is applied thereto, and impurities due to wear from the slide part such as seal 6, bearing 8, etc., move toward the casing 1 with no risk of mixing with the main carrier liquid in the casing 1. Accordingly the main carrier liquid can be maintained at a specified degree of pureness.
