PURPOSE:To accurately confirm the time for starting printing, by displaying a residual time of warming-up on the console of a printer. CONSTITUTION:A warm-up time is set into a setting circuit 2-1 in a printer device 1-1, and a clock signal from a clock-generating circuit 2-4 is outputted at an interval of one second by a timer 2-5. A counter 2-2 is loaded with the warm-up time, outputs the warm-up time, then the data is decoded by a decoder 2-3, and is displayed on an operator panel 2-9 through a display circuit 2-8. The counter 2-2 is decremented by 1 at a time, and when the value in the counter 2-2 reduced to theta, counting of the counter 2-2 is stopped by a theta-detecting circuit 2-7. With such a circuit being provided, the residual time of the warming-up time can be accurately confirmed on a second basis.
