PURPOSE:To easily transmit, between a VTR and a TV, a luminance signal, which has a higher band area and a higher quality than a case to deal with a NTSC standard signal, and a carrier chrominance signal by easily adding and changing the output circuit system of the VTR dealing with the NTSC signal and the input circuit system of the CTV. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal having a band area wider than a band area limited by an NTSC standard, and a carrier chrominance signal are respectively separated, outputted from a VTR and transmitted to a color TV. In the color TV, these wide band area-luminance signal and carrier chrominance signal are switched with the luminance signal output of a Y/C separating circuit 24 and a carrier chrominance signal output, in a color video signal processing circuit 35, converted to R, G and B signals having the wide band area and high quality and transmitted to a display part. Thus, the band area wider than the band area decided by the NTSC system standard is obtained, a mutual interference such as cross color or cross luminance is removed and also the adding noise of the circuit system can be reduced.
