Electric storage heater with fan output - has air temp. sensor in separate housing with forced or convected air flow

A room temperature sensor (6) is arranged in a housing separate from that of the storage heater itself and this housing is attached to the outer wall (8) of the heater and projects from it. The sensor is in the flow zone of an induction opening of a fan duct (9) and its housing has air openings for the passage of fan-moved or convection circulating air from the room. The sensor housing (7) pref. at least partially covers the induction opening. Its base is pref. arranged spaced outwardly from the plane of the external wall, and may be attached via spacers. The air openings are pref. in two or more opposing walls, and there may be one or more metal plates thermally in contact with the sensor (6). ADVANTAGE - Accuracy of temperature measurement is unaffected by radiation from storage heater.
