Device intended to receive a bow entirely equipped for firing without any of its elements being in contact with the ground. The invention of functional form consists of a horizontal element 1 on which there is positioned, at its centre, an element 3 at an acute angle with the horizontal plane. An oblique element 2 forms, with the inclined element 3, an angle of at least 90 DEG , whose length is calculated so that its lower end is on the same plane as the horizontal element 1 and this being in order to determine a stable assembly. This oblique element 2 is extended at its upper end by an L-shape 4 on which is positioned the hand grip of the bow and, at its lower part, a recess 5 receives the string of the bow. In its dismantleable embodiment the bow rest is of minimum bulk for easy transport. <IMAGE>
