PURPOSE:To obtain a true focused position by executing a contrast detection with regard to each corresponding position, when plural pieces of phase difference data exist. CONSTITUTION:When a phase difference detecting means 2 detects a phase difference data from an output data of a focus detecting sensor 1, this phase difference data is stored in a storage means 3. When plural phase difference data stored in the storage means 3 exist, a sequence control means 4 moves a focusing lens 7 by a lens driving means 6 to plural scheduled focal positions related to each phase difference. Subsequently, by operating a contrast detecting means 5 in each scheduled focal position, a position of the highest contrast is selected from in such scheduled focal position, and by deciding this position to be a true focal position, the focusing lens 7 is brought to a driving control in the end. In such a way, focusing can be executed to the true focusing position. |
