摘要 PURPOSE:To enable soliton oscillation easily by a simple light source for optical pumping by synchronizing the propagation delay time in a laser resonator of 1.5mum band optical pulses excited in the laser resonator and the cycle period of optical pulses for optical pumping. CONSTITUTION:An optical-pulse light source for optical pumping having a specific wavelength between 0.5mum-1.1mum and a 1.5mu band laser resonator including a single mode fiber laser to which optical pulses for optical pumping from the optical-pulse light source for optical pumping are projected and Er<3+> is doped are provided. The propagation delay time in the laser resonator of 1.5mum band optical pulses excited in the laser resonator and the cycle period of optical pulses for optical pumping are synchronized, and optical soliton pulses are generated by the balancing of the self-phase modulation effect of 1.5mum band optical pulses and the negative group velocity dispersion of a single mode fiber. That is, a rare earth element Er<3+> is doped to an silica group fiber or a phosphoric acid group fiber, and optical soliton can be oscillated easily by the second higher harmonic excitation of an Ar laser having a wavelength of 514nm, a 585nm dye laser, a 1.06mum YAG laser or a 532nm YAG laser.
