<p>PURPOSE:To improve the sterilization effect at the time of operation stoppage by keeping the burning in the burning chamber by a predetermined short period of time after stopping water sprinkling in order to dry the heat absorbing material by hot air. CONSTITUTION:Water sprinkled from a nozzle 15 in a water sprinkling chamber 12 passes through a heat absorbing material 11, and combustion gas from a burning chamber 4 passes upwardly through a perforated plate 10 and heat absorbing material 11, where the water and gas exchange heat. Water which becomes hot water by exchanging heat is guided by the slope of the perforated plate 10 and flows down on the wall of the system body 2 to be collected in a hot water well 3. When the stop switch is operated, a solenoid valve 17 is closed to stop the water sprinkling from the water nozzle 15, and a solenoid valve 45 is opened to drain the hot water in the hot water well 3. After a predetermined time period has passed, i.e. the time when the temperature of the heat absorbing material 11 and the perforated plate 10 becomes higher than 200 deg.C has passed, a fuel valve 18 for a burner 23 and a pilot burner 24 are shut off. Therefore, the moisture remaining in the heat absorbing material 11 and the perforated plate 10 is evaporated to enhance the sterilization effect.</p> |
