In this receiver, a tuned aerial circuit (1), a control amplifier (2), a filter (3), a post-amplifier (4) and a rectifier (5) are provided and connected to one another in the order mentioned. The control voltage (12) supplied to the control amplifier is formed from the difference of the signal (10) of the rectifier (5) and of the signal (11) of a reference source (7) and averaged by a storage capacitor (8). In addition, a decoding unit (9) is provided which determines the envelope curve of the amplitude modulation from the control voltage (12).
