Fodder is fed down shoot 10 and discharged therefrom by rotating wheel 28, the fodder passing through aperture 16 in partition 12 and being finally discharged through aperture 18 and down shoot 20 by the rotating wheel. Rotating wheels 30 and 28 are secured to shaft 22 driven from the bottom thereof and the shaft carries a horizontal disc 38 which is sized and positioned so that it intersects the bridge formed by the fodder at the bottom of shoot 10. In this way disc 38 takes part of the load of the material in shoot 10 and prevents the bridging. |
