PURPOSE:To enable hot air to be discharged in a specified direction from the whole periphery, by a method wherein a burner is situated inside a centrifugal fan and a heat shield part is located on the outer periphery of the burner, and an air suction port and a discharge port are formed on the outer periphery of a casing containing the burner and the heat shield part. CONSTITUTION:With a centrifugal fan 12 runs, indoor air sucked through an air suction port 19 is discharged through a mixing chamber 17b situated to the outer periphery of a heat shield plate 17 and discharged through a discharge port 21. The flow of the air forces a portion in the vicinity of an outlet 17a of a combustion chamber 11a, surrounded with the heat shield plate 17, of a burner 11 located at a central part into a negative pressure. Combustion chamber gas at the burner 11 is induced through an outlet 17a and mixed with indoor air being previously present to product hot air in the mixing chamber 17b, and is discharged in four directions throughout a whole periphery through the discharge port 21. Since, as noted above, the burner 11 is situated to the central part inside the centrifugal fan 12, the height of a casing 18 is decreased to make the compact.
