PURPOSE:To double number of transfer step by forming a modulation track as a rectangle so as to adopt simple constitution for a code converter with a gate IC thereby having only to increase the gate ICs by two. CONSTITUTION:Exclusive OR circuits 12 of a required number are built in a code converter 7 having a control signal terminal 4 and D/A converters 2, 2' and an orthogonal converter 3 are provided to the post-stage of the converter 7 to output a signal inputted to the terminal 5 from the terminal 6. When the control signal comprising of n-digit of binary codes is given to the terminal 4 and all the digits are subject to change from all '0' to all '1', the codes P0-Pn-1 are changed specifically and a D/A conversion value before offset is obtained in a decimal number. Similarly, codes Q0-Qn-1 are obtained. That is, in taking the decimal number of the 1st conversion control signal as the X axis and taking the 2nd signal as the Y axis, the modulation track is a rectangular form changing clockwise as shown in figure and the constitution is simplified more in comparison with the modulation track to be a circular form.
