PURPOSE:To secure a pumping loss reducer for a rotary piston engine simple in structure while controlling a fuel injection quantity accurately by regulating fuel pressure in a fuel injection valve which performs connecting port fuel injection. CONSTITUTION:A connecting port 41 is formed in an intermediate housing, and an on-off valve 2 and a second fuel injection valve 43 both are set up in this connecting port 41. Now, a control unit U opens the on-off valve 42 at the specified timing when an engine driving state is in the specified driving area (excepting the vicinity of an idle area and the case at time of high speed or high load) upon calculation a fuel injection quantity per cylinder on the basis of each detection signal of engine speed and suction air quantity, and this calculated fuel injection quantity is sprayed out of the second fuel injection valve 43. Fuel pressure at this time is regulated by a regulator to be equal to that in first fuel injection valves 29A, 29B, 30A and 30B. Consequently, a pumping loss is abated by opening or closing the connecting port and a travel distance of supply fuel is short enough so that improvement in combustion speed is securable.
