A pallet truck has a steerable drive section (1) and a vertically movable load section (11), which can be adjusted vertically with respect to the drive section (1) by means of a lifting cylinder (6) therein, and is driven and guided by the drive section. A load bearer (25), in particular in the form of load-bearing forks, is at a fixed angle to the load section (11) and is vertically adjustable with respect to the drive section. Under the load bearer, there are vertically adjustable rollers (37) borne on a pivoted lever (36). Their pivoted levers (36) can be pivoted to the height setting of the load bearer (25) parallel to the bottom as a function of a height control device which corresponds to the actuation of the lifting cylinder (6), by means of rods (35) stretching from a pivoting lever (36) to a pivotable linkage section (32). These rods (35) are designed to have their length between the pivoting levers (36) and the linkage sections (32) adjustable by the actuating device. <IMAGE>
