PURPOSE:To exchange the information of a terminal equipment without operating an exchange by providing a control information connection circuit having a means to exchange control information between a telephone set and a data terminal. CONSTITUTION:A line connection part 10 has the control information connection circuit 14, and the circuit 14 exchanges control information with a multifunctional telephone set 20 and each data terminal 30 and transmits/receives by means of synthesis transmission/separate reception the control information as one for the multifunctional telephone set and the data terminal equipment through the line that leads to an exchange 40. At the time of receiving a prescribed control information from either the telephone set 20 or the data terminal equipment 30, the circuit 14 transforms the received information into the format of a data terminal equipment control information if it is from the telephone set 20 and vice versa, then transmits the information. In such a way, a load on the central processing unit of the exchange can be relieved.
