PURPOSE:To prevent short-circuit between turns of a field coil and maintain an insulating performance over a long period of time by using an insulating material obtained by mixing inorganic insulating powder and resin and applying said mix to a cloth. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic pole 1 is composed of an iron core 1a and a pole tip 1b supporting 1 field coil 3 and controlling a shift of said field coil 3. An insulating collar 5 and insulating sleeve 6 are inserted between the field coil 3 and iron core 1a, pole tip 1b, respectively. Further, an insulating material between turns 4 is inserted between steel strips 2 wound by a salient-pole field. Said insulating material between turns 4 is mixed with inorganic insulating powder 4b and resin added by a curing agent in a given weight ratio and said mixture is applied to a glass cloth 4a for curing to form an inorganic insulating powder layer 4a. Moreover, an adhesive 4c applied to the surface of said layer and brought to a tack dry state is inserted between turns of said steel strip and thereafter heated and pressed by a compresser to be bonded to the steel strip surface.
