PURPOSE:To uniformize the thickness of an adhered paint film, in drawing up a material to be painted from paint, by making the draw-up speed of the upper part faster than that of the lower part. CONSTITUTION:A material to be painted is immersed in thixotropic paint with a thixotropic index of 2-100 composed of org. bentonite, carboxylate or a mixture thereof. The draw-up speed of the material to be painted from the paint is controlled so that the draw-up speed of the upper half is set to 2-30cm/ sec and that of the lower half is set to 4-50cm/sec. As pref. setting conditions, temp. is 10-50 deg.C and humidity is 20-90%. After setting, the material to be painted is passed through a setting zone and subsequently dried, for example, at 110 deg.C for about 5min in a far infrared oven. By this method, the thickness of the adhered film can be made uniform.
