PURPOSE:To obtain an inhibitor against eating by birds, such as especially seed treatment suitable for treating seed of crops, protecting crops from eating by birds, containing a bisbenzyl sulfide known as an antioxidant or stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:An inhibitor against eating by birds comprising a bisbenzyl sulfide [especially most preferably bis(o-, m- or p-chlorobisbenzyl sulfide)] shown by formula (X is H or halogen) as an active ingredient. The agent is used in the form of solution, emulsion, wettable powder or dust and the amount of the agent is 0.001-1%, preferably about 0.1% calculated as the active ingredient for seeds and crops.
