PURPOSE:To obtain a cyan coloring matter for three primary colors which has appropriate sublimability, favorable color forming properties and excellent preservation stability, by specifying the structure of a coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A coloring matter of the formula, wherein X is a 5-10C alkyl or 5-10C alkoxyl, can be obtained by, for example, bringing a bromamine acid into reaction with a corresponding aniline, followed by cyanation. The coloring matter is used to prepare a coloring matter-containing ink, which is applied to a base for a transfer material, whereby a sublimation transfer material can be produced. The base for the transfer material may be generally a condenser paper, cellophane, a polyimide resin, a polyester resin, a polyether- sulfone resin or the like. The ink comprises the sublimable coloring matter, a binder and a compound which has absorption at the oscillational wavelength of a laser when the laser is used a heat source. The ink is produced through dissolution or pulverization in a solvent by using a ball mill or a paint conditioner. |
