PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a motor and to realize a long life timepiece using a small-sized battery, by forming a train wheel setting lever from a synthetic resin material to make it possible to also forma train wheel receiving setting from a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Since the train wheel setting lever 1 of an electronic timepiece sets an intermediate wheel 4 at the intermediate position of a magnetic core pin 2a and a pin 3a for setting lever, said lever 1 becomes a double end support beam bending structure and sufficient setting force can be secured even by a material such as a polyimide tape and, even when impact force due to vibration or falling is applied at the release time of setting, a problem such that the train wheel setting lever is brought into contact with the intermediate wheel 4 to stop the movement of a stepping motor can be solved. Further, when the intermediate wheel 4 engaging with a rotor 5 is formed of a synthetic resin and lowered in intertia, rotational angular velocity rises. By this constitution, the inverse current induced in a coil 8 increases and the current consumption of the stepping motor is lowered.
