PURPOSE:To obtain stable opening degree detection accuracy over the entire opening degree range by correcting a learnt correcting value so that the value obtained by correcting a 2nd valve opening degree detected value with the learnt correcting value approximates to a 1st valve opening degree detected value. CONSTITUTION:A valve opening degree detected by a 1st valve opening degree detecting means is selected by a valve opening degree detected value selecting means in a range where the throttle valve opening degree is small. A valve opening degree detected by a 2nd valve opening degree detecting means is corrected with the learnt correcting value stored in a storage means in a range where the throttle valve opening degree is large and the obtained value is selected by the selecting means. In a range where the valve opening degree is detected by both 1st and 2nd valve opening degree detecting means, on the other hand, a learnt correcting value correcting means compares the value obtained by correcting the 2nd valve opening detected value with the 1st valve opening detected value and corrects the learnt correcting value so as to approximate the former to the latter, thereby rewriting the learnt correcting value stored in a learnt correcting value storage means with the corrected correcting value. Thus, a step in detected value caused by the switching of the valve opening degree detecting means is eliminated.
