PURPOSE:To designate an area on a coordinates designation means for enabling a sample stand to be simply moved to a desired position by making a coordinates position on the coordinates designation means to correspond fixedly to the position of the sample stand and providing, on the coordinate means an area corresponding in nearly one to one relationship to a moving area of the sample stand. CONSTITUTION:An area 10 corresponding in nearly one to one relationship to the range 2 where a sample stand 3 is able to move is provided on a coordinates designation means 8. The area 10 provided on the coordinates designation means 8 is corresponding to a driving range 2 of the sample stand 3 so that the sample stand 3 can be moved by designating the coordinates area on the coordinates designation means 8. Thereby, if the spot of the sample stand 3 where a sample 4 is placed, is memorized, and the position corresponding thereto of the coordinates area 10 on the coordinates designation means 8 is designated, the sample stand 3 moves so as to bring the sample 4 into a visual field and to move the sample stand 3 to a desired position simply and quickly.
