There are provided novel 3-substituted 1-(2-chlorothiazol-5-yl- methyl)-2-nitroimino-1,3-diazacycloalkanes of the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which n represents the numbers 0 or 1 and R represents methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, isobutyl, sec-butyl, C5-C20-alkyl, C3-C10-alkenyl, C3-C10-alkynyl or one of the groupings -CH2-R<1>, -COR<2>, -S(O)m-R<3>, <IMAGE> where R<1> is in each case a substituted or unsubstituted radical selected from the group consisting of phenyl, pyridyl, furyl, thienyl and thiadiazolyl, R<2> is methyl - with the proviso that in that case n is 0 - or substituted or unsubstituted C2-C20-alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted C3-C6-cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted C2-C20-alkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, methoxy, C3-C20-alkoxy, benzyloxy or phenoxy, m is 0, 1 or 2, R<3> is substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20-alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, Q is oxygen or sulphur, and R<4> and R<5> are each C1-C4-alkyl. The compounds of the formula (I) show powerful activity against animal pests, preferentially against arthropodes and nematodes, in particular against insects and arachuidae. |
