PURPOSE:To aim at simplifying the structure of a power shift lifter device and at reducing the cost thereof by enabling front and rear operating members for operating seat attaching and supporting mechanism laid on the front and rear sides to be simultaneously or selectively driven with the use of a common different at gear mechanism having a pair of lock mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:Seat attaching and supporting mechanisms 2, 3 in which attaching brackets 9, 10 are journalled to end parts of support links 6, 7 swingable around shafts 4, 5, are provided on the front and rear parts of a movable side rail 1a of slide rails 1. The support links 6, 7 are swung through operating links 11, 12 by means of screw nuts 21, 22 which are displaced in association with the rotation of lead screws 16, 17 whose inner end parts are coupled to a common gear box 23 which incorporates a differential gear mechanism 24 for introducing power from a motor M. The rotation of the screws 16, 17 may be stopped when stopper arms 32, 33 are engaged with lock gears 30, 31 in association with the operation of plungers 34, 35.
