PURPOSE:To perform winding and unwinding of a hose without transferring a drum, by a method wherein a drum is rotatably placed on a moving truck, and after the moving truck is securely coupled to a base bed, a roller at the one end of a rockable arm is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of a wheel on the drum side. CONSTITUTION:On a moving truck 5, a shaft 3 of a drum 2 is supported to a support roller 6 of a lever rod 10, and is rotatably and removably placed. A key piece 20, vertically moved by means of an air cylinder 19, is mounted to a base bed 18, and the moving truck 5 is secured or movable by means of a pin 17. A drive shaft 23, interlocking with a motor 21, is situated to the base bed 18, the one end of an arm 24 is pivotally located, and a wheel 25 is mounted to the other end of the arm for rotation. Rotation of the drive shaft 23 is transmitted to a wheel 25 by means of a belt. The arm 24 is rocked with the aid of an air cylinder 27, and by rotation of the wheel 25 through its contact with the peripheral surface of a drum side wheel 4, the drum 2 is rotated in a winding and a feed direction. Thus, the drum 2 is movable between a winding position and a feed position.
