PURPOSE:To accurately confirm the content of reservation in a way whomever it is understandable by sending reservation confirmation in voice by voice synthesis in a VTR capable of being reserved through a telephone line. CONSTITUTION:A VTR 2 is reserved from an external telephone set via a telephone line 1. In confirming the reservation, a reservation confirming signal is sent from an external telephone set via the line 1. The VTR 2 receiving the signal supplies the content of video recording reservation by a video recording reservation device 26 comprising a microcomputer to a voice synthesis circuit 27. The voice synthesis circuit 27 sends the content of reservation as the voice by voice synthesis to the external telephone set via a speech circuit 11 and the line 1. Thus, the content of reservation understandable whomever is accurately confirmed.
