<p>PURPOSE:To perform operand processing without increasing the number of terminals by discriminating whether the operand is placed in a device on the outside of a chip or in a storage device in the chip to operate a first or second operand retrieving means. CONSTITUTION:A data processor 1 is constituted in the same chip, and the micro instruction read out of either of a memory other than of its own processor 1 or a memory 10 in the processor 1 is temporarily stored in a FiFo memory 11. The stored micro instruction is transferred to a microprogram storage device 12. If the instruction requires an operand in the device 12, an arithmetic unit 15 calculates the address of the memory where the operand is stored and this address is temporarily stored in a register (MAR) 151. The address of the memory 10 is stored in a register (MBR) 152, and a comparator 153 compares contents of registers 151 and 152 with each other, and the comparison result is sent as an output D15 to an internal memory controller 13 and an external memory controller 14, thus performing the operand processing.</p> |
