PURPOSE:To decrease the scattered light which is the cause for a crosstalk by using a glass substrate which has shielding property of the light to be used. CONSTITUTION:An LED collimator 12 with a lens, an APD collimator 13 with a lens, and an optical fiber collimator 14 with a lens are installed on the glass substrate 11; further, a prism 16 for multiplexing/demultiplexing and an interference filter 17 are installed among the collimators 12, 13, 14. The shielding property to the light of the wavelength to be used is provided to the glass substrate 11 itself by projecting electromagnetic waves such as gamma rays to the substrate 11 or forming the substrate 11 of a compsn. in which transition metal ions are incorporated. More specifically, the substrate is formed by working glass by chemical cutting of mechanical cutting, then projecting the electromagnetic waves such as gamma rays on the worked glass, thereby coloring the glass substrate. The scattered light which is generated in optical circuit parts and passes the glass substrate except the prescribed optical path is absorbed by the glass substrate.
