PURPOSE:To have flexibility in setting a speed increasing/decreasing ratio by transmitting rotation of an input shaft to eccentric elements through a planetary gear mechanism in a speed increasing/decreasing gear having a planetary gear mechanism where curved plates are inscribed in an outer pin and meshed therewith. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 9 is rotated and a planetary gear 25 engaged with an external sun gear 21 revolves at a reduction gear ration N1 while rotating on its axis in engagement with an internal sun gear 27. A carrier gear 22 is rotated through a carrier pin 23 by revolution of the planetary gear 25, and an external gear 15 engaged with the carrier gear 22 is rotated at a speed increasing ratio N2 to rotate each eccentric element 11 with eccentricity. The eccentric rotation of the eccentric elements 11 causes the respective curved plates 17a, 17b to revolve in engagement with an outer pin 20 and rotate on its axis at a reduction gear ratio N3 in the opposite direction to the revolving direction. The revolution of the curved plates 17a, 17b is output from an output shaft 3 through an inner pin 6. That is, the reduction gear ratio can be freely set by combination of the reduction gear ratio N1, the speed increasing ration N2 and the reduction gear ratio N3.
