1,056,797. Magnetic fastenings; securing panels to walls &c. JOHN WRIGHT & SONS (VENEERS) Ltd. Oct. 8, 1964 [Oct. 8, 1963], No. 39700/63. Headings E1W and E2A. Panels are secured to walls or ceilings by magnetic attachment. As shown magnets 12 are secured to a wall 10 by screws 13 and plugs 11, and plates 16 of magnetic material are arranged on one face of a panel 15 so that when the panel is positioned in the requisite place on the wall each plate co-operates with a magnet. Resilient buffers 14 are provided between the magnets and the wall to allow the magnets to be positioned with their end surfaces in a common plane. In another embodiment the plates 16 are replaced by inserts in the panel 15. In other embodiments the plates or inserts are magnets and the magnets 12 are replaced by magnetic material, or both the plates or inserts and the parts 12 are magnets whose abutting surfaces are of opposite polarity.
|
