PURPOSE:To transfer a glass plate following the speed-up of its high-speed transfer, prevent the contact breakage with the succeedingly transferred glass plate, and improve the operation efficiency and product yield by operating arms via combined actions of inclination, inversion, descent, and rotation. CONSTITUTION:When a glass plate 1 being transferred reaches parallel and rectangular arms 3 intersecting with the transfer direction, the arms 3 are open-sidedly rotated by the rotation of a rotary member 12 pivotally fitted to one end to receive the glass plate 1, which is supported by a glass receiver 8 by the succeeding rotation, and the glass plate 1 is collected manually or automatically. After the further rotation, the arms 3 are vertically supported by a travel member 25, and the intersection position between the arms 3 and the rotary member 12 is moved to the opposite side by the release of the pivotally fitted rotary member 12 and the descent of the travel member 25. The arms 3 are rotated to the transfer face of a shift conveyor by the pivotal fitting and rotation of this rotary member 12 and arms 3 to wait for the next glass plate 1. Accordingly, the carry-out is allowed following the high carry-out speed, the contact damage with the succeedingly transferred glass plate 1 is eliminated, and the operation efficiency and product yield can be improved.
