<p>The device is inserted into three input channels of an inlaying system transmitting luminance (Y) and chrominance (CR, CB) signals of a composite foreground and background picture, before inlaying, properly speaking, the foreground picture inside a background picture, so that the colour of the background no longer appears in particular in transparent zones of the foreground picture after inlaying. According to one embodiment, the device produces a third chrominance signal (CB') equal to the absolute value of a first chrominance signal (CR) when a second chrominance signal (CB) associated with the colour of the background, is greater than the absolute value of the first chrominance signal (CR), and equal to the second chrominance signal (CB) when the latter is less than or equal to the absolute value of the first chrominance signal (CR). According to another embodiment, the device completely discolours the background, whilst accurately taking into account the relationships directly linking the luminance and chrominance signals. <IMAGE></p> |
