PURPOSE:To obtain an unmagnification picture without random reduction by divisionally outputting picture data to plural recording media by a recording part in the case of the size of recording media smaller than the size of picture data stored in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:In the case of picture reception, a maximum size of recording media which can be set to a recording part 6 is declared as the recording medium size of an equipment itself against the transmission side to receive pictures, and received picture data is stored in the storage means (a picture memory 4). In the case of recording of stored reception picture data, picture data is divisionally outputted to plural recording media by the recording part 6 when the size of recording mediums set to the recording part 6 is smaller than the miximum size. Consequently, picture data is divisionally outputted without reduction in the case of agency reception even if recording media whose size is smaller than that of reception pictures are set at the time of recording output. Thus, the degradation in picture quality is prevented.
