PURPOSE:To enable even such an operator whose has no sufficient knowledge nor experience to quickly call out the necessary screens in response to the areas of faults, by using a table which stores previously the information showing the relation among items. CONSTITUTION:A certain specific item requires attention for a menu screen displayed in a menu system owing to a fact that a fault occurs with a plant equipment related to each item. This information is displayed on the menu screen. Under such conditions, the corresponding item is selected and a detailed screen related to this item is displayed. Then the item to be selected next is retrieved out of a table in order to obtain a reply warning message and then the relative information. Thus the guidance is displayed on the menu screen in relation to the display of the item requiring attention. In such a way, an operator can know instantaneously the menu item to be called out for the detailed information on an emergency state like the occurrence of a fault, etc.
