A description is given of a front-wheel suspension for motorcycles, with a telescopic fork (1), on the lower fork bridge (4) of which engages a longitudinal link (7). The telescopic fork itself is mounted pivotably at its upper end, in the region of the steering tube (10), on the frame (8). In order to obtain a relatively large scope for design and to keep the friction losses of the mounting low, the invention replaces the ball-and-socket joints of the prior art at these points by a mounting which consists of a bearing section which permits the steering tube (10) to be rotated around the steering axis (18). In addition, the mounting of the telescopic fork (1) permits a pivoting movement in the vertical direction. <IMAGE>
