PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device and simplify the structure by carrying out auxiliary speed change and advancing/backing changeover with one power transmission shaft in a shaft lower transmission device in which a friction type continuously variable transmission, an auxiliary speed change gear, and an advancing/backing changeover device are provided in a transmission case. CONSTITUTION:By shifting a clutch member 13 loosely fitted on a power transmission shaft 12, as plural speed change gears 13b provided on the clutch member 13 are selectively engaged with driving gears 14, 15 on an output shaft 6 side, rotating power which is outputted from a friction type continuously variable transmission A is subjected to auxiliary speed change and transmitted to the clutch member 13. On the other hand, the rotation power from the output shaft 6 is always transmitted in a reversed condition to a clutch member 17 loosely fitted on the power transmission shaft 12 via an idle gear. And, as a shift member 18 which is shiftably and torque transmittably fitted on the power transmission shaft 12 is shifted and connected to the clutch member 13, the rotating power which was subjected to auxiliary speed change is transmitted to the power transmission shaft 12 as an advancing power, whereas, when the shift member 18 is connected to the clutch member 17, reversed power is transmitted to the power transmission shaft 12 as a backing power.
