PURPOSE:To ensure the alignment of the leading ends of originals under discharge by providing delivery rollers for feeding the originals to the table thereof and extending a belt between driving and driven rollers related to the delivery rollers. CONSTITUTION:A sheet discharge sensor 41 detects the leading ends of originals to be discharged, thereby turning a solenoid ON and a sponge belt 33 turns into rotary motion, shifting to a lowering position. The sheet discharge sensor 41 turns OFF, upon the detection of the trailing ends of the originals to be discharged. The solenoid, however, is kept ON by a delay circuit and during this process, the sponge belt 33 is made operable at a feed position. During the aforesaid process, therefore, the originals to be discharged are discharged upon originals S0 stacked on an originals table 4 via delivery rollers 23 and 23a. The discharged originals S1 slide on the stacked originals S0 due to the slope of the table 4, reaches the turning area of the belt 33 and the leading ends of the discharged originals S1 are aligned near a separation prevention belt 6.
