A pencil instrument comprises (i) an outer cylinder containing a pen axle axially slidable, (ii) a clip in contact with the rear inner portion of an outer cylinder to make a clip based portion moved axially, (iii) a knock axle axially slidable in an outer cylinder, (iv) a brake inserted in the clip based portion, in which a knock axle is passed through, and deforming the clip elastically, (v) a stopper in contact with a knock axle, which releases braking state by the elastic deformation of a brake following the movement of a clip.
