PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality picture at high speed by forming a density converting table corresponding to respective magnifications, and referring to this table for conversion. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal processing part 1 separates horizontal bit rows for four bit unit as many as possible correspondingly to a designated converting magnification and converts a horizontal density according to a predetermined converting table for respective contents of the separated bit row. A vertical processing part 2 refers to a processing sequence memory 22 for storing a processing sequence according to the converting magnification, divides horizontal density converted image data outputted from the horizontal processing part 1 to six processings P1-P6 to apply any one of the six processing according to the converting magnification, convert a vertical density and output. Thereby, the deterioration in the picture quality is suppressed and a high processing speed is obtained. |
