PURPOSE:To obtain an optical data recording medium having excellent recording and reproducibility and improved reproduction deterioration characteristics, particularly, an optical data recording medium of the type in which a light- reflective film is not used, by providing an organic thin film comprising a specified naphthalocyanine coloring matter as a main constituent on a base. CONSTITUTION:An organic thin film comprising a naphthalocyanine coloring matter of formula I as a main constituent on a base. In the formula, each of R1-R4 is methyl, ethyl, propyl or isopropyl, n is an integer of 1-6, each of Y1 and Y<2>, which may be the same or different, is-R,-Ar,-OR,-OAr,-OSi(R)3,- OSiAr3,-OSi(OR)3,-OSi(OAr)3 or-OC(C6H5)3 (wherein R is a 1-15C straight chain or branched alkyl, Ar is phenyl, substd. phenyl, benzyl or substd. benzyl), and M is Al, Ti, Ge or Sn. When a certain naphthalocyanine compound is used, a reflectance approx, equal to or superior to that of a cyanine coloring matter is displayed, and reproduction deterioration characteristics are excellent. |
