PURPOSE:To eliminate a need of equipments for overtaking on the ground by providing an approach detecting means which detects approach to a preceding vehicle stopped in a station and a route switching means which switches the route to lead a vehicle to a turn out route. CONSTITUTION:Each vehicle is provided with an approach detecting means (optical sensor) 13 which detects approach to the preceding vehicle stopped in the station arranged on the running route and a route switching means (microcomputer) 18 which switches the route on the basis of the detection signal of the approach detecting means 13 to lead the vehicle to the side-step route deviated from the running route. That is, the route switching means switches the route based on the detection signal of the approach detecting means 13 to lead the vehicle to the turn out route deviated from the running route if the approach detecting means 13 provided in the vehicle detects approach to the preceding vehicle stopped in the station. Thus, equipments for overtaking in the station are unnecessary on the ground and overtaking is controlled with the simple structure.
