PURPOSE:To improve the mass-productivity by manufacturing magnetic powder basically composed of a rare-earth metal, iron and boron using a gas spray method. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic powder basically composed of a rare-earth metal, iron and boron is manufactured using a gas spray method. The gas spray method, as compared with other pulverizing method, has a low oxygen concentration in a powder state and stable, and the resinous strain can almost be precluded because a power can be directly made from a molten state. A powder obtained is quenched in the gas spray method as compared with the conventional solution, but not to an extent that an amorphous phase is contained, so that the coercive force mechanism is same as that of a magnet by the ordinary sintering method. With this, the manufacture of a resin-bonded type rare earth- iron system permanent magnet is enabled without depending on the quenching method which is inferior in mass-productivity. |
