PURPOSE:To obtain the aimed packed MOCHI (rice cake) capable of readily packing at a low cost in enclosing the MOCHI in an instant food such as instant SHIRUKO (adzuki bean soup with rice cake), by subjecting MOCHI having notch scored into the prescribed depth to vacuum packaging with a packaging material on the sheet-like face having the each prescribed side, length of diameter and thickness. CONSTITUTION:At least one side of MOCHI (rice cake) molded to plate having about <=15mm thickness is bought into contact with thin cutting blade to score linear, parallel, cross-like or parallel cross-like notch to the MOCHI in size of about 1-4mm width and about 1-5mm depth. Then the MOCHI after above- mentioned treatment is cut into sheet-like thin piece of square shape having about several cm side length in the notch or circular shape having about several cm diameter. Then the cut MOCHI piece is put in a packaging material per 1 - several number and vacuum packed to provide the aimed and packed MOCHI for enclosing in instant food. The packed MOCHI has excellent storing properties in addition to the above-mentioned characteristics. |
