Installation for charging a shaft hoisting cage, in particular a blind-shaft hoisting cage, having cars to be slid onto the hoisting cage (decked) in an underground mining operation, with a charging track for a plurality of cars to be slid on, a tilting platform, a device for shutting off the shaft (safety gate), a safety stop (car spotter) and a decking device, the decking device having a decking ram with a driver which is mounted thereupon, acts in the sliding-on direction on a rear stop on a car to be slid on and can be lowered, and the fixedly mounted safety stop has at least one lowerable safety stop hook which acts in the front region on a car to be partioned off. In a charging operation of the hoisting cage, the safety gate or the safety stop are closed alternately. The decking device is additionally designed as a device for shutting off the shaft. A special safety gate is not required.
