PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition exhibiting high water-resistance after drying on hair and easily removable by washing with a detergent containing a surfactant, by using a polymer containing acidic monomer having acid group as a fixing agent and a pigment as a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) 0.5-15wt.% polymer having a number-average molecular weight of 5,000-300,000 and containing >=5%, preferably 10-60% monomer having acid group as a constituent component of the polymer, (B) 0.1-5%, preferably 0.5-3% pigment and (C) 80-99.4% water and/or a hydrophilic solvent (having a water-solubility of >=10g/100g water/25 deg.C). The polymer of the component A is preferably a polymer produced by copolymerizing 5-10% unsaturated carboxylic acid, 40-95% compound of formula (R<1> is CH3; R<2> is 1-22C hydrocarbon group) and 0-30% polymerizable monomer other than the above monomers.
