PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent flame retardance while holding film-forming ability, by blending a polyolefin with a mixture of a halogen compound with an antimony compound and a mixture of a metallic soap of an aliphatic higher alcohol with low-molecular weight PE. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. polyolefin (preferably PE, acid-modified PE, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene- acrylic acid copolymer or PP) with (B) 5-20pts.wt. mixture of a halogen compound (preferably brominated bisphenol A derivative) with an antimony compound (preferably antimony trioxide) and (C) 0.5-3pts.wt. mixture of one kind selected from the group of metallic soaps of aliphatic higher alcohols (preferably zinc stearate), polyhydric alcohol esters of fatty acids and fatty acid amides with low-molecular weight PE.
