PURPOSE:To determine a more suitable modification by adding a modification destination candidate extracting device, a modification receiving determining function counting device and a modification destination determining device to compare the value of the determining function with a certain threshold and determine the modification destination. CONSTITUTION:In a natural language analyzing device, a sentence structure analyzing device 13 respectively recognizes a continuous use modification phrase and a simple verb phrase concerning the sentence in which a morpheme is analyzed by a morpheme analyzing device 12. A simple verb phrase is the phrase composed of a verb, an adjective, an adjective verb and an auxiliary verb. Next, a modification destination candidate extracting device 14 extracts the modification candidate of the continuous use modification phrase. A modification receiving determining function counting device 15 counts the value of a modification receiving determining function to the modification destination candidate noticed presently. The modification receiving determining function makes the clue concerning the modification receiving into a numeric value and is defined as a function. A modification destination determining device 16 compares the value of the counted modification receiving determining function with a certain threshold, and when the value is larger than the threshold, it is judged that the modification destination candidate is modified and when the value is smaller than the threshold, it is judged that the candidate is not modified.
